Responsibilities:
Social Care Assistants will provide the highest level of care and support for our clients. The ideal candidate is expected to engage in daily activities and routines as specified. They will be providing support to service users, undertaking both administrative and daily household tasks as required. The Social Care assistant will be working as part of a dedicated team within Residential Services provided to service users in line with HIQA standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities may include:
Delivering personal care and support
Promoting independent living skills
Accompanying clients on outings and activities.
Managing and implementing clients care plan, performing duties as required
Creating a comfortable environment for clients; ensuring their dignity and wellbeing is respected.
Requirements:
Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and the healthcare team.
Empathy & Compassion – A caring and understanding attitude towards others, ensuring clients feel supported and valued.
Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of care and client interactions.
Knowledge of HIQA Standards – Understanding and adhering to the HIQA regulations and standards.
Organised & Responsible – Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently while providing high-quality care.
Policy & Procedure Adherence – Commitment to following company policies and ensuring safe care practices.
Eligibility to Work in Ireland – Full eligibility and availability to work legally in Ireland.
Desirable:
Level 7 or above that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
Knowledge of quality assurance practise and their application to service provision
Knowledge of National Disability Standards (HIQA)
Experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with persons with an intellectual disability.
Full Driving License
Salary/Remuneration: Depending on Experience
Expected Hours: 35-40 weekly
